Colourrish

Hi, I'm Risheet Mazumdar — a Sydney-based doodle and pop artist and the founder of Colourrish.

My work is driven by one core belief: colour has the power to change how people feel. Through bold, vibrant artworks and playful designs, I aim to spark joy, connection, and positivity especially in spaces where it's needed most.

Creativity has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. From drawing and singing constantly as a kid to developing my own visual style during the COVID lockdowns, art quickly became more than just a passion — it became my way of expressing ideas, emotions, and stories. At 11, I began seriously exploring my artistic voice, experimenting with colour, pattern, and form, and pushing my work beyond the traditional canvas.

Since then, my journey has grown in ways I never imagined. I've been featured in Northern Beaches Magazine - The Tawny Frogmouth, won the Mosman Youth Art Prize, and was a finalist in the Northern Beaches Environmental Art & Design Prize. I've also had the opportunity to collaborate with other young artists to create a public mural at Manly Library, and to exhibit my work in local galleries across Sydney. Beyond that, I launched my first few lines of products which I ran stalls for and sold, whilst simultaneously developing my portfolio.

As Colourrish evolved, so did its purpose. What began as a visual art brand has grown into a platform for meaningful social impact. Alongside creating products and artworks, I'm now focused on using Colourrish to give back to the community - delivering creative workshops, collaborative art projects, and joyful experiences for individuals and groups facing hardship, illness, or major life challenges.

At its heart, Colourrish exists to make creativity accessible, uplifting, and shared. Whether through community art sessions, colourful installations, or thoughtfully designed products, my goal is to bring moments of happiness, connection, and expression into people's lives — while also being mindful of sustainability and our impact on the planet.

This journey is still just beginning, and I'm excited to see how far creativity, colour, and community can take it.

Feel free to follow along 😊
